Kavarna
Kavarna is situated in the northern part of the Bulgarian sea cost. It is 64 km north from the city of Varna on the main road E79. Its population is around 12000 people. This is a picturesque area with rocky hills, small cozy beaches, clean water and cool weather during the summer.
The resort part is disposed in a bay, formed by a little charming river, named “The valley of the orioles”. There is also a yacht port in the town. There are many cultural and historical places and monuments like the hill of Chirakman, which is 3 km away from Kavarna, with its remains of Roman fortresses and towns.
Very close to the city is the National archeological reserve Yailata with remains from different periods from our history.
A famous place of interest is the Kaliakra cape - another natural reserve. Here, according to the legend, during the Ottoman enslavement several Bulgarian girls jumped into the water, refusing to accept the Islam religion.
